Margate manager Terry Brown has completed his first summer signing by securing the services of former Dover midfielder Solomon Taiwo.

Taiwo was one of six players released by Chris Kinnear, having made 25 appearances at the Crabble club since joining in January.

The 30-year-old Nigerian has previously played for Championship side Cardiff City and League 2 side Luton Town.

Brown said: "Solomon was one of our first targets this summer and we are absolutely delighted to be signing a player of his calibre.

“He will bring composure to the side as well as lots of energy to our midfield.

"He is a great passer of the ball and is a real winner and the Margate fans should be excited about seeing him in action.”
