Drivers had to contend with hours of disruption following an accident which left a vehicle blocking the road, a telegraph pole split in half, and a fuel spillage.

Two fire engines were sent just before 9am to Goudhurst Road, Horsmonden, where a car had crashed blocking the road.

It was closed until shortly after 3pm to recover the vehicle and clear debris and a petrol spillage.
