Cyclist airlifted to hospital after falling from bike in Quarry Hill Road in Tonbridge

A man has been airlifted to hospital in a serious condition after reportedly falling from his bike in Tonbridge.

Officers and the South East Coast Ambulance Service (Secamb) were called to Quarry Hill Road just after midday where the man was found collapsed.

A spokesperson for Secamb said: "I can confirm that we were called at approximately 12.30pm to reports a person been found collapsed.

"Ambulance crews attended and were joined at the scene by the air ambulance service.

"The male patient had reportedly fallen from a bike.

"He was assessed and treated at the scene before being airlifted to hospital in London in a potentially serious condition."

The incident has now been cleared and traffic is returning to normal.
