General Election 2019: Tonbridge and Malling hustings to be held at Tonbridge Baptist Church

Election candidates are preparing to debate before the public.

With the General Election just days away, Tonbridge and Malling's would-be MPs are preparing for a hustings event.

Tonbridge Baptist Church in Darenth Avenue, will host a General Election hustings (23140831)

Fiona Tolhurst, one of the hustings organisers said: "We've received more questions this year than any other hustings I've seen in the past 14 years.

"There's definitely an appetite to see what our local candidates are thinking.

"Brexit wasn't even the biggest topic, we've had questions about poverty, the economy, young people and a lot of local issues."

Tonbridge Baptist Church will host the hustings from 7.30pm on Thursday, December 5.

All four candidates are due to attend, it will last until 9.30pm.
