Tonbridge man's tube escalator slide goes viral

Drunken revelry got the better of a Tonbridge man on a night out this week.

Footage shared thousands of times on Twitter shows 22-year-old Freddie Andrews climb on to the metal chute separating escalators at London Bridge station on Wednesday night.

His friends can be heard laughing as he hits his groin on a warning sign, while another of his friends slips in the background.

Things go from bad to worse in the video, captured by friend James Gower, as the full-kit wearing daredevil hits a second obstacle, bouncing onto the adjoining escalator.

It is understood Mr Andrews and his friends were returning from a night at the World Darts Championships in Alexandra Palace

Tweeting after the event, Mr Gower wrote: "For everyone that’s asking, yeh he’s alright.

"Few cuts and bruises but he’s all good."

Mr Andrews told the MailOnline he had sunk 10 pints at the PDC World Championships at Alexandra Palace in north London.

The Asda worker was with his friends, who were dressed in full football kits.
