Hunt for vandals who tore off wing mirrors

POLICE are searching for those responsible for pulling wing mirrors off several vehicles in a Kent town.

The damage was inflicted on at least five and up to 14 vehicles in Judd Road, Tonbridge, between 1am and 2am on Sunday.

Police received one report of a group of young men walking along the road at this time, some with bicycles, and at around the same time another resident told police that a group of people were throwing rubbish from wheelie bins around the road.

Gian Chahal, Tonbridge neighbourhood inspector, said: "The time of day this happened suggests that these were people returning home from a night out, but to wander along a road committing random acts of criminal damage is not acceptable."

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 01732 379217 or Kent Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
