Fourteen people have been arrested today after 200 police officers carried out a series of raids across Kent.

They were held on suspicion of conspiracy to supply cocaine after warrants were executed at 17 addresses, including those in Tunbridge Wells and Gravesend.

Cash, jewellery, an imitation firearm, four cars and a quanitity of what is believed to be a class A drug have also been seized.

It was part of an ongoing investigation into the supply and trafficking of class A drugs.

Deputy Chief Constable of Kent Police Paul Brandon said: "The message is clear – drugs will not be tolerated and crime does not pay."

Chief Inspector Dave Pate, district commander for Tunbridge Wells, said: "I want to stress that the local police and our partners are here for the long haul."
