A stage school star from Kent is preparing to appear in a West End musical.

Kiah Spurle, from Tonbridge, will appear in 'The Dreamers' - being shown at St James' Theatre in London - as the lead child.

The seven-year-old, who won a scholarship at Razzamataz stage school last year, starts rehearsals imminently in preparation for the opening show in June.

The production tells the story of a World War I hero who before his demise led his men in the 1915 battle of Gallipoli.

Kiah has also racked up thousands of views on her YouTube videos which include covers of chart toppers such as Adele's Rolling in The Deep.

Her mum Sonia Spurle said: "I can't thank everyone at Razzamataz enough for helping Kiah on her way to becoming the little star we all knew was hiding in there."

'The Dreamers' will run from June 30 to July 11.

Razzamataz principal Dave Mac said: "We are all so very proud of Kiah. We are looking forward to seeing her perform."
