Man arrested after allegedly tailgating unmarked police car in Paddock Wood while 'double drink-drive limit'

A man has been arrested after allegedly tailgating an unmarked police car while "double the drink-drive limit".

The driver was detained in the early hours of this morning after "bouncing off" a verge in Paddock Wood, near Tonbridge.

The Kent Police Roads Policing Unit (RPU) tweeted after the incident shortly before 1pm today.

Officers said: "Male arrested in the early hours after tailgating our unmarked police car and then bouncing off the verge in the Paddock Wood area.

"Turns out he was double the drink-drive limit and had taken cocaine, oh and had cannabis in the car."

Police have been contacted for further information.
