Man denies houseboat stabbing murder

A 54-year-old man has denied a murder allegedly committed on a cabin cruiser moored on the River Medway.

Kenneth Harman, of The Impulse boat, Medway Wharf Road, Tonbridge, is accused of killing Michael Castle, 61, on February 15.

Mr Castle, also of The Impulse, was found dead from a single stab wound when the boat was moored near Cannon Bridge, Cannon Lane, Tonbridge.

Harman, 54, will stand trial on December 1.

He was remanded in custody after appearing at Maidstone Crown Court by TV link from Elmley Prison, Sheppey.
