Man treated for burns following electrical fire in Mabledon Road, Tonbridge

A man suffered burns to his feet and leg after a fire at a home in Tonbridge.

Crews were called to a blaze in a dining room at a house in Mabledon Road just after 7pm yesterday.

Firefighters wore breathing apparatus and it was put out by 8.15pm.

One person was treated for minor burns to his feet and leg before being looked after by the ambulance service.

The fire is believed to have been caused accidentally due to an electrical fault.

Following the incident, crews are reminding people not to overload power sockets, or extension leads, with appliances.
