Man's eye socket broken in unprovoked attack

A 46-year-old man suffered a broken eye socket when he was assaulted outside a takeaway.

The attack took place on Friday night at around 9.30pm when the victim was walking past a pizza takeaway on Station Approach, Tonbridge, heading towards the town centre.

The man police want to speak to in connection with the incident is described as white and he was wearing a denim jacket and jeans.

DC Gareth Skinner said: "We know people were in the area at the time of the assault because some kindly stopped to help the victim.

"I would ask anyone who was there to contact police as they may have information that will be very helpful to our investigation."
