Men charged after 'suspicious behaviour' around cash machines in Tonbridge and Paddock Wood

Two men have been charged by officers investigating reports of suspicious behaviour around cash machines in Tonbridge and Paddock Wood.

Kent Police received reports at 10.47pm on Tuesday that the two men had been recently seen in Tonbridge High Street area behaving unusually.

Around 15 minutes later, a similar call was received, stating the same men had now been seen acting suspiciously near a bank in Station Road, Paddock Wood.

Officers attended the town and located two men who they believed to be the suspects mentioned in the reports. They were both arrested at 11.13pm.

James Bull, 22 and of Leigh Terrace in Teston, and Jake Leigh, 24 and of no fixed addresss, have since been charged with one count of going equipped for theft.

They have both been bailed to attend Sevenoaks Magistrates’ Court on April 10.
