Men deny Securitas involvement

Two men have appeared in court to deny involvement in the £53million Tonbridge Securitas robbery.

Paul Raymond Allen, 29, of no fixed address, but previously of Huntersfield Close, Lordswood, Chatham, addressed Maidstone Crown Court via a video link from Manchester Prison.

Hairdresser Michael Demetris 31, of Ravenleigh Court, Bromley Common, appeared in the dock, at the hearing on Thursday.

Both men denied conspiracy to commit robbery, conspiracy to kidnap and conspiracy to possess a firearm in connection with the raid in 2006.

Another directions hearing is due to take place around July 21, at the Old Bailey. A full trial is due to start at the Old Bailey on October 1.
