Mum and child in pedestrian crossing horror

A MOTHER and her young child were struck by a car at a pedestrian crossing outside Woolworths in Tonbridge High Street this afternoon.
It is understood a white Nissan Bluebird was involved in the incident and that the child was in a pushchair.
It is believed three casualties are being treated at the scene and the Kent Air Ambulance has landed at nearby Tonbridge Castle.
The accident happened shortly after 2pm. The road was closed for some time, causing tailbacks in both directions.
