Officers search for bag of white powder outside Woodlands Primary School in Tonbridge

Police were on the hunt for a bag of white powder outside a primary school.

Officers were seen rummaging through bushes outside Woodlands Primary School in Hunt Road, Tonbridge at around 8am.

They were following up on a report that during the previous evening a small resealable bag, containing a white powdery substance, had been seen discarded nearby.

Despite their efforts, the officers were unable to locate the item.

A spokesperson for the school said staff were unaware of the incident and had not been contacted by police.
