Railway workers couldn't baa-lieve what they were faced with this morning, when a small flock of sheep pottered onto the tracks.

The woolly creatures were first spotted by staff on the tracks near Hildenborough, reported on Southeastern's Twitter account at around 8.30am.

By 9am, workers thought the sheep were gone but a couple of hours later they were baa-ck.

The latest update is staff are unable to locate the elusive mammals, after they walked along the track out of sight.

Station employees noted all fences were intact and say they will report baa-ck if the sheep are seen again.
