Kent Police arrest boy, 17, after teenager seriously injured in Hadlow Road, Tonbridge, crash

A 17-year-old boy has been arrested after another teen suffered serious injuries during a crash.

Police were called at around 4am yesterday following the crash on the A26 Hadlow Road, Tonbridge, between The Ridgeway and Higham Lane.

A 17-year-old boy suffered serious injuries when the silver Renault Twingo he was a passenger in rolled across a grass verge and onto a footpath.

He was airlifted to a London hospital.

A second 17-year-old boy, from Tunbridge Wells, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.

He has since been released on bail pending further enquiries until Friday, May 17.

Four other passengers in the car suffered minor injuries.

Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit would especially like to hear from anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage of the incident itself, or of the vehicle being driven prior to the collision.
