Campaigning to be re-elected is Tom Tugendhat, who has been representing Tonbridge and Malling in Parliament since 2015.

The 46-year-old lives near Edenbridge with his wife and two young children, and has been involved in national and local matters after chairing the Commons Foreign Affairs Committee during the last Parliament.

The Theology graduate entered politics after leaving the British Army in 2017, having served in Iraq and Afghanistan as a Territorial Army officer.

Mr Tugendhat “I’m standing to be re-elected to represent Tonbridge, Edenbridge and Malling based on my record over the past four years. In that time we have achieved a lot together.

"We have funded flood defences, reduced business rates helping High Streets, saved Hadlow and West Kent College, secured faster broadband and improved mobile phone reception, while keeping GPs in West Malling, with new Medical Centres close to completion in Tonbridge and Edenbridge too. I want to continue this good work for our community."
