Traffic lights on A26, Hadlow Road in Tonbridge at junction with Cannon Lane have been restored following roadside fire

Motorists were experiencing long delays in Tonbridge this morning due to an earlier roadisde fire.

There were temporary traffic lights in place on the A26, Cannon Lane at the junction with the A227 Hadlow Road.

Long delays were leaving drivers frustrated on the A26 London Road between the A21 junction in Tonbridge and Mount Ephraim Junction in Tunbridge Wells.

Kent County Council's Highway department has now announced that the normal traffic lights are all back in operation.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service said it has not been called to the incident.
