Was bearded man photographing children?

Schools have been warned to stay vigilant after reports of a man with a white beard taking photos of children. Kent Police say they have received a number of reports about a man near schools in the Tonbridge and Tunbridge Wells area.

The middle aged man has not approached anyone but one report says he appeared to be taking photographs of pupils as they left school.

Parents have been notified and neighbourhood police officers have increased their patrols around the schools as a result.

Inspector Justin Watts said: "It is perfectly possible that this man is doing nothing wrong and has a genuine reason for being there. We encourage people to be sensible and always think about personal safety but do not want parents to be unnecessarily worried."
