Woman, 87, dies after being hit by milk float

An 87-year-old woman has died after being in a crash with a milk float.

The A26 Hadlow Road in Tonbridge has been closed since this morning after the collision.

The pedestrian, who has not yet been named, was pronounced dead at the scene, near the junction of Garden Road.

The driver was taken to Kent and Sussex hospital suffering from shock.

The woman’s family have been informed.

Kent Police are asking anyone who witnessed the collision or who has any information to contact the Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 01622 798538.
