Tonbridge Angels manager Steve McKimm has committed his future to the club says chairman Dave Netherstreet

Tonbridge Angels have confirmed that manager Steve McKimm will lead them into the new season - whenever that may be.
A decision over how placings in the recently scrapped 2019/20 campaign have yet to be decided but McKimm will be at the helm whenever football resumes at the Lomgmead Stadium.
Angels finished third from bottom in National League South but with games in hand and form improved, were confident of finishing much higher by the time the season ended.
Their defender Sonny Miles was part of the KentOnline team-of-the-year 2019/20.
McKimm's side were playing back in the Conference South following last season's promotion, after twice coming from behind to win the super play-off at Met Police a year ago.
Prior to that they had made the 2016 play-off semi-finals under McKimm and had also made an Isthmian League Cup Final appearance a year later.
Angels chairman Dave Netherstreet said: “This is absolutely great news for the club.
"In these extraordinary and uncertain times it is fantastic that Steve continues to be with us planning for whatever the future may hold.
"Only those inside the club really know the amount of work this guy along with his assistant Barry (Moore) does in bringing success to Tonbridge Angels. His relationship with his players, the board, and our supporters is second to none.”
McKimm recently spoke to the KM about his thoughts on relegation and promotion in the National League.
He also talked about how well position the club are to cope in the current crisis, saying: “As a non-league side, we’ve got to make sure we can look after ourselves in-house so we’ve got a club to come back to for the start of next season.
“But because of what’s going on every club is in limbo, although the blessing that we’ve got is that we’ve got a sound base where we’re run correctly.
“We don’t outspend our means, so we’ll be going into a situation where we’re not fighting against the odds, whereas a lot of clubs will come out the wrong side of this, which is quite frightening for them.”
