Angels on their guard

Margate v Tonbridge

Tonbridge will be on their guard when they travel to Margate, the Jekyll and Hyde of the Ryman League Premier Division, tonight.

Margate won at high-flying Ashford Town on Saturday and were only beaten 1-0 at leaders Dover Athletic - but just two wins so far this season has them floundering at fifth from bottom.

Angels are sixth after three straight wins but boss Tommy Warrilow said: "We cannot be complacent about Margate.

"Their result on Saturday against Ashford Town is a little reminder that you have to be on your guard otherwise you could get turned over."

He added: "There is a funny atmosphere round here at the moment because although we're in sixth, we have not really got going.

"After some really good displays against Dover and Billericay, we did not play well at Heybridge on Saturday although we still won. If we return to our good form, then the Margate match is another winnable game."

Warrilow is still without Ade Olorunda (broken metatarsal) while Jamie Cade, Michael Phillips, Carl Rook and Leon Legge should have recovered from knocks in time for tonight's game.

Margate will be without Jack Parkinson for the game. The former VCD youngster, signed on a three-month loan from Welling at the beginning of the season starts a two-match ban, following his sending-off at Tooting.

Louis Smith or Sam Taylor could replace him, while new signing Danny Kerrigan makes his home debut after moving from Heybridge Swifts.

The left-sided defender played for the Essex club when the two sides met at Hartsdown Park earlier this season.

Goalkeeper Lee Butcher, signed on loan from Spurs, is set to continue in place of injured Scott Chalmers-Stevens.
