Steve McKimm admits transfer-listed Maidstone winger Mitchell Pinnock has shown little desire to rejoin Tonbridge.

Angels boss McKimm contacted Pinnock when Stones said he could leave the Gallagher Stadium, but a deal to bring the former loan star back to Longmead looks unlikely.

McKimm said: “I’m waiting to see what happens. I need commitment to my squad because of the position we’re in.

“When I put the call in to him, I was expecting him to say ‘can I come back?’ but I didn’t really get that vibe.

“He’s had his best moments with us but he’s got his own people looking after him. He’ll make the decision that’s right for Mitchell Pinnock.

“That’s not to say it won’t happen, but I think that answers a lot of questions for now.”
