A21 at Lamberhurst Quarter reopened after 100 litre fuel spillage following four-car crash which left two people in hospital

The A21 has reopened after 100 litres of fuel spilled onto the road following a crash involving four cars, which has left two people in hospital.

Police were called to the A21 at Lamberhurst Quarter at 6.52am.

The road was closed in both directions between Lambehurst and Kippings Cross.

Police and paramedics were called to the crash

A spokesperson for Highways England said: "The road remains closed in both directions at present whilst the vehicles involved in the earlier collision are recovered.

"There is also 100 litre fuel spillage to clear from the road. Traffic continues to be diverted locally."

Kent Fire and Rescue and paramedics were also called.
