The A21 was closed southbound due to an accident.

The incident involved two vehicles between Cuckoo Lane and the A262 Forstal Farm Roundabout in the Lamberhurst area.

Queues stretched back to Lamberhurst Quarter at their peak.

Highways officials said police and other emergency services were on the scene.

The road has since reopened and the accident has been cleared.
