Appeal to identify victim who was punched, chased and beaten in Tunbridge Wells High Street assault

Police are appealing to find a victim after two men were assaulted in town centre.

Officers were called to Tunbridge Wells High Street at around 3am on Sunday (July 9) following a disturbance close to the train station.

It is alleged a man was punched to the ground where he was assaulted again.

Reportedly, the suspect then assaulted a second man in a similar location, who was punched and chased, then pulled to the ground and repeatedly beaten.

The first victim was taken to a local hospital and has since been discharged, but the second victim had left the scene when officers arrived.

Police are keen to identify him and check on his welfare.

They would also like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incidents and has not yet spoken to officers.

A 19-year-old man from Sevenoaks was arrested at the scene on suspicion of assault and is currently bailed while inquiries continue.
