ON Saturday, June 19, 250 people attended the Bethany School leavers' ball at High Rocks, Tunbridge Wells.

This year's theme was "A hint of sparkle": this included various interpretations from tiaras, to Indian saris and copious amounts of glitter!

Students and their guests, parents, staff and Old Bethanians enjoyed a delicious three-course meal and afterwards danced to The Sound of the Crowd - a very lively and talented local band. Everyone including the staff and headmaster partied until the small hours.

The leavers had a lot of input into this year's leavers' day, which began with a champagne breakfast and was followed by a special farewell chapel service, primarily organised by the heads of school.

All of the decorations for the ball were handmade by members of the upper sixth and leavers' mug shots were pinned up at the venue to add a personal touch to the night.

It was a fantastic way to celebrate leaving the school, before we all go our separate ways. I have thoroughly enjoyed my last five years at Bethany and this was the perfect way to finish it off - it was a fantastic evening!
