A care support worker was found dead at a children's playground just months after splitting up from his wife, an inquest has heard.

The body of Shane Underdown, of Common View, Tunbridge Wells, was discovered by colleagues at Aspens Charities in the town on September 4.

Archbishop's Palace, Maidstone

An inquest opening at the Archbishop's Palace in Maidstone was told the 32-year-old was last known to be alive at 7.30am that morning when he finished his shift before being found by a team leader later in the day.

Mr Underdown had told colleagues he had split up with his wife, Sheree, a sales assistant, in May, the court heard.

A post-mortem gave the cause of death as suspension and a full inquest was adjourned to be heard at a later date.
