Two men have appeared in court after police seized hundreds of deals of cocaine in separate cases related to the same town.

Benjamin Freeman, 36, of Goods Station Road, Tunbridge Wells, and Georgios Kotsis, 26, of Upper Luton Road, Chatham, were both charged with possessing the drug with intent to supply and with possessing criminal property.

The former was stopped by police in Victoria Road at around 6.50pm on April 21. A search resulted in the discovery of a wrap of what was suspected to be cocaine.

An address in Tunbridge Wells was also searched and police seized more than 100 grams of the suspected drug as well as £8,000 in cash.

The next day another car was stopped in the Eridge Road area of the town.

A search uncovered four wraps of the drug with a more extensive search unearthing a number of knotted bags beneath the driver's seat.

Police seized around 90 deals of the illegal substance and almost £2,000 in cash.

An address was then searched in Chatham, where suspected cocaine, estimated in the region of at least 300 street deals, was seized.

Freeman appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Saturday and was bailed. A date for his next hearing has not yet been set.

Kotsis was remanded to appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court today.
