THE High Sheriff of Kent, Anthony Monteuuis, is hosting a classical music concert at Tonbridge School chapel on Friday, March 19, in aid of the Kent People’s Trust.

The Trust, set up in April 2000, works closely with Kent Police on crime prevention projects, to which it has awarded more than £300,000 to date.

Schemes have included the provision of skate park equipment and youth club facilities to help keep young people out of trouble, to support for victims of domestic violence.

The concert will feature music from talented young organist Oliver Brett, supported by Tonbridge School Orchestra and tickets are £5 each, with all proceeeds going to the Kent People’s Trust.

Mr Monteuuis, a former pupil at Tonbridge School, said: “I’m delighted to have the opportunity to host this event in aid of a worthy Kentish charity working for the benefit of us all in Kent.

“It will provide a high note on which to conclude my term of office, which draws to a close on March 31.”

Anyone wishing to attend the concert, or to find out more about the Trust, should telephone its director, Mike Westwell, on 01622 653208 or log on to: www.kentpeoplestrust.org.uk.
