A car crashed into a telephone pole this morning, closing a part of a country lane.

The incident in Cornford Lane, Tunbridge Wells, was reported to police at around 8.46am.

Police officers attended the scene and discovered the driver had already left the vehicle.

A recovery vehicle is en route to the scene.
