Drink driving arrest after car crashes into garden centre in Tunbridge Wells

A man was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving after the car he was driving left the road and crashed into a garden centre.

The man had to be taken to the Tunbridge Wells Hospital where he was treated for minor injuries. He was subsequently released on police bail pending further investigations.

There was extensive damage to the garden centre
The car ended up upside down

The crash happened at 2.15am yesterday morning, Sunday.

The Tunbridge Wells Garden Centre in Eridge Road was unable to open for business yesterday because of the damage.

The car ended up on its roof, and fencing around the centre was demolished.

Skid marks were noted on the carriageway near the crash site.
