Car and lorry crash in St John's Road, Tunbridge Wells

Emergency services were at the scene of a crash involving a car and an HGV.

Kent Fire and Rescue said firefighters were working with paramedics to free a male driver of a car, who was trapped by his injuries.

They were called at around 7am to the crash in St John's Road in Tunbridge Wells which was closed in both directions.

The man has been airlifted to Kings College Hospital with serious injuries.

Motorists were advised to take an alternative route but the road has now re-opened.
