Tunbridge Wells police charge Arsid Mataj with drugs offences

A suspected drug dealer has been charged over the supply of cocaine.

Arsid Mataj was arrested near the Pantiles, in Tunbridge Wells, on July 23, 2018, after officers stopped a vehicle he was travelling in.

Quantities of cash and suspected cocaine were seized from the vehicle.

Mataj, aged 24, of no fixed address, has now been charged with conspiring to supply cocaine and with acquiring or possessing criminal property, namely the cash seized.

On Monday he appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court, where he was remanded into custody. He will next appear before Maidstone Crown Court on May 13.
