A woman in her 80s was treated by paramedics after a fire in her bungalow.

Firefighters were called to Langholm Road in Langton Green just before 6pm last night, after a blaze broke out in the kitchen.

The elderly woman was treated for the effects of breathing in smoke and crews used a fan to ventilate the property.
