A man suffered a stomach injury in an alleged assault at the weekend.

Emergency services, including the police and air ambulance, were called to Showfields Road in Tunbridge Wells just after 1am on Sunday.

A Kent Police spokesman said it was reported a man had been assaulted and was suffering from a puncture wound to the stomach.

The teen was arrested yesterday.

He declined treatment from medical staff at the scene and later took himself to hospital.

His injury is not believed to be serious.

A Kent Police spokesman said inquiries are ongoing.
