A brand spanking new festival set in picturesque surroundings is well underway this weekend.

Forgotten Fields, a 'boutique' event taking place near Tunbridge Wells, kicked off yesterday.

Four thousand revellers have descended on the beautiful Eridge Park to enjoy music from a eclectic mix of big name and emerging artists.

Among those to perform are dance royalty Basement Jaxx, who are joined on the main stage by early noughties indie powerhouses, Razorlight and psych rock legends Super Furry Animals.

Forgotten Fields will take place at Eridge Park from August 7 to 9.

The Levellers, De La Soul and The Horrors are also part of a very impressive line up for the festival's first outing.

Forgotten Fields, which is the brainchild of the people behind Kendal Calling, runs until tomorrow.
