Firefighters rescue fox cubs trapped in sludge pit in Pembury, Tunbridge Wells

Firefighters came to the rescue after a pair of young foxes got trapped in a deep sludge pit.

The cubs were discovered on Wednesday in Pembury, near Tunbridge Wells.

A pair of fox cubs had to be recued by firefighters after getting trapped in a sludge pit in Pembury

Crews were able to rescue the siblings by using reach poles to lift them up to safety.

The pair was covered in muck and were taken into the care of a charity.

The duo are being looked after by The Fox Project, which rescues rehabilitates and eventual releases the animals back into the wild.
