Charities in Tunbridge Wells, Maidstone, Medway, Swanley and Aylesford receive donation from Kent Police property fund

Charities across Kent have benefited from a donation from the Kent Police property fund.

The fund comes from the sale of items that have been seized during police operations and unclaimed property at auction.

Charities can submit a request for funding which are then assessed by police offers before funds are distributed.

The latest charities in west Kent to receive donations are:

West Kent divisional commander, chief superintendent Steve Corbishley, said: "There are so many charities across west Kent that contribute so much to society by helping and supporting people who are in need.

"It is quite humbling to see the effort that is put in – often on a voluntary basis – and we are only too happy to help support these amazing people and their organisations with funds that we have collected through the sale of unclaimed property."
