Car and lorry crash on Ashurst Road, Tunbridge Wells

Emergency Services are at the scene of a crash on Ashurst Road close to the Faulkham turning near Tunbridge Wells involving a car and a lorry.

One casualty was already out of the lorry and receiving care from paramedics.

The road is currently closed at the junction of Fordcombe Road.

South East coast ambulance service sent two ambulance crews and two paramedic cars and were met at the scene by the air ambulance.

Firefighters created space to enable a second casualty to be released from a car and handed into the care of paramedics and air ambulance doctors.

A patient with head and shoulder injuries was airlifted to Kings College Hospital.

Police Officers were called at 10:29am to reports of a collision involving a car and a van and are currently at the scene.
