Police arrest man in connection with spate of graffiti incidents

A man has been arrested after police investigated a series of graffiti incidents.

Kent Police was called at 12.05am on Saturday to reports of suspicious behaviour at a bus stop in St John’s Road, Tunbridge Wells.

Patrols attended and following a search of the area stopped a man in Grosvenor Road. Spray paint was also seized.

The man, aged 23 and from the Tunbridge Wells area, was arrested on suspicion of causing criminal damage and taken into custody. He was later released pending further investigation.

Over the past two months police have been made aware of a number of incidents of graffiti, in different areas of Tunbridge Wells. Anyone with information is asked to call 01622 604100, quoting reference YY/016425/18.
