Man, 21, from Wainscott charged on suspicion of attempted burglary and assault in Tunbridge Wells

A man has been charged on suspicion of attempted burglary and assault after a police officer suffered a broken arm while arresting him.

The incident happened at around 1.50pm on Monday, February 6 when officers were called to reports of a man who had been acting suspiciously in Powder Mill Lane, Tunbridge Wells.

Officers searched the area and found 21-year-old Liam Nurdennearby.

While he was being arrested for attempted burglary an officer suffered a broken arm.

On Tuesday, February 7, Nurden of Chancel Drive, Wainscott, was charged with grievous bodily harm with intent to resist arrest, three further assaults, burglary, attempted burglary, three criminal damages and going equipped to steal.

He was remanded in custody to appear before Medway Magistrates Court tomorrow.
