A motorcyclist has been airlifted to hospital following a crash in Southborough.

Emergency services were called to the scene on the A26 London Road just after 2.30pm following the smash between the bike and another vehicle.

The road, at the junction with St John's Road, has been closed and is expected to remain shut throughout the evening rush hour, with queues already building in the area.

The air ambulance was called to the scene to take the biker to hospital

A spokesperson for South East Coast Ambulance Service said: "Ambulance crews have attended along with the air ambulance.

"The motorcyclist, an adult male, has been airlifted to Kings College Hospital. He has suffered leg injuries."
