The police helicopter was used in the search for a woman in Mount Ephraim, Tunbridge Wells, after reports of concern for her welfare

The police helicopter was used in a search to trace a woman in Tunbridge Wells, after reports of concern for her welfare.

The incident happened at just after 8pm last night, after officers were called about a woman in the Mount Ephraim area.

The police helicopter, which covers Kent and Essex.

Officers on the ground also joined the search and a van, believed to be connected with the incident, was found nearby, and the woman located.

A 38-year-old man from Edenbridge has been charged with two counts of common assault. He will appear before Sevenoaks magistrates on Monday, November 17.
