Tunbridge Wells: Victim hit with bottle during Grove Park robbery

A man was reportedly headbutted and hit with a glass bottle during a robbery in a Tunbridge Wells park.

The victim, in his 20s, was walking through The Grove with a friend, when a teenager, who appeared to have been with a group of about five people, approached them and demanded money.

When the victim refused it is reported the teenager head-butted him then struck him with a glass bottle.

During the attack he received cuts to his head and had to go to hospital for treatment.

The robber fled empty handed.

The suspect is white, 17 to 18 years old, of slim build with short wavy blond hair that was shorter at the back and sides. He was wearing a padded jacket and dark jeans.

The incident happened between 10.30pm and 11pm on Saturday, October 28, but details have only just emerged.
