Two commercial properties have suffered smoke damage after a rubbish fire broke out.

The blaze started about 2am in a pile of rubbish behind premises in Longfield Road in Tunbridge Wells.

The road is home to a number of big name businesses like Asda, M&S, Halfords, Dreams and McDonalds.

Fire crews used high-pressure hose reel jets to deal with the fire, while working hard to prevent it spreading to neighbouring properties.

No injuries were reported but both premises suffered smoke and fire damage.
