Suspect charged after cash and drugs were seized from a car in Eridge Road, Tunbridge Wells

Police have charged a suspect after large quantities of cash and drugs were seized from a car during a search in Tunbridge Wells

Just before 9pm on Tuesday officers from the town’s Community Policing Team stopped a suspicious vehicle in Eridge Road.

The suspect is due in court today

More than £1,000 in cash, large quantities of cannabis and two mobile phones were seized.

An address linked to the suspect in Crowborough was also searched, where more drugs were found.

In total more than 220 grams of cannabis were seized.

Richard Wolvery, 36, of Vicarage Road, Southborough was arrested and later charged with two counts of possession with intent to supply Class B drugs.

He was remanded in custody to appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court today.
