Suspected cocaine dealer charged after Tunbridge Wells stop and search

A suspected drug dealer has been charged after an arrest by plain clothed officers.

According to police, Klisard Metaj, of no fixed address, was seen acting suspiciously in Stratford Street, Tunbridge Wells at around 6.30pm on Saturday.

Officers stopped the 23-year-old and after a search arrested him on suspicion of possessing cocaine with intent to supply.

They also seized 16 wraps of a substance thought to be cocaine, a mobile phone, and a quantity of cash.

Metaj was later charged and remanded by Medway Magistrates’ Court to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on Monday, June 24.
